In itself, the shape of the little box suggested it was a collection item. On the front, there was the image of the Happy Valley. In time, this image has become the symbol of Little Surprises.
For the first time, their history has been narrated in a rigorous and documented manner, from the 1980s to our days, by the person who created and designed them for years.

“PASTA CITY” - THE BARILLA PLANT IN PEDRIGNANO (PARMA)
In 1940 Riccardo Barilla commissioned a ‘bird’s eye view’ from Aerostudio Borghi of Como of the Via Veneto (today Viale Barilla) factory in Parma. The view is a huge plate (80 x 170 cm) now held in the company’s archive that documents the phase of greatest expansion before World War II; it is typical of the 19th century landscape views that became popular following the invention of the balloon.
BARILLA STANDS: 1913-2000
80 years of Barilla stands. The inventory of Barilla fair fitting was composed of 46 colored images of the stands (projects, models, pictures, awards) with explicative notes and biographic systems.
