An Atlas of the Barilla Cinema commercials in Italy:
1956‑2009

Here you can find a presentation of the Barilla commercial release which have been projected in the Italian movie theaters in different versions: 1. specifically conceived for the cinema 2. Identical to television commercials, but always documented by a cinematographic “censor’s certificate” sign or by complementary documentation.
A correct identification of the paternity of the advertising communication ads and the attribution of the various roles has been a complex and difficult process. In more than a case, the records result to be incomplete or data is entirely missing, or, if any data exists, it is not of clear interpretation.
Even though great attention was given to the research carried on in collaboration with the Advertising Agencies that have collected a great amount of data, the Barilla Historical Archive apologizes in the eventuality that credits were listed erroneously or that some attribution results missing, and thanks anyone who wishes to contact the archive to report incorrect data and to fill in any missing information.
