Sceneggiatura

Giorgio Albertazzi shows the public the film that his grandfather kept in a box labeled “Celebrities”. This footage contains images of Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931), the great inventor of the phonograph, of the duplex and multiplex systems, of telegraph and micro telephone; among other things. These are all instruments tied to the sense of hearing, and he had hearing problems. Upon his death hundreds of sketched out ideas for inventions were found, but none of them was useful for people suffering from hearing problems. Albertazzi then remembers Carolina Otero, better known as “La Bella Otero” (the beautiful Otero) (1868-1965), the Spanish dancer that enjoyed an incredible popularity in theaters and elegant clubs of Paris and that in the end retired to live modestly in the city of Nice.
