Abstract: The director Valerio Zurlini returns after five years of absence from his first Barilla commercials, and chooses to set each short with Mina featuring a work of contemporary art. Mina in the meantime had changed her look and has long wavy hair and often wears extremely short skirts. For “Non credere” (do not believe), Mina is near large wooden sculptures by Mario Cerioli that represent her own profile; those sculptures were set on fire during the filming in external location of the song “Sacumdì sacumdà”; instead the work of art that is featured in “Attimo per attimo ”(moment by moment) and “Viva lei” (long live her) is the painting “Le fils de l’homme” by René Magritte, while in “La voce del silenzio” (the voice of silence) a large painting by Titina Maselli is at the center of the scene, and in “Un colpo al cuore” (a blow to the heart) a painting by Mario Schifano and in “I problemi del cuore” (the problems of the heart) one by Alberto Burri; in a television studio, images of art installations alternate with a group of dancers in a game of shadows and lights for the songs “C’è più samba” (there is more Samba) and “Una mezza dozzina di rose” (half a dozen of roses); in another art installation, this time a long curtain with fringes is lighted in a suggestive way to create the setting of “Se stasera sono qui” (if tonight I am here), while “Insieme” (together) is all played on a suggestive close up of Mina.
